Our Voices Exhibition & Workshop

The project started when these women of colour came together in True & Woke to share their experiences of racism. Through this process, they were empowered to create a shared understanding of how identity transcends oppression. That shared understanding led to this powerful immersive exhibition. Please note the exhibition will be closed for a workshop between 12.30–3.30pm on Saturday, 19th Feb to allow for the Our Voices Workshop, more information on the workshop can be found here.

True & Woke presents five compelling portraits and audio narratives of women of colour who share lived experiences of racism.

Photographer Nikki Kilburn captures their healing journey in each portrait and recorded a personal narrative of each woman in her own voice, weaving their stories together to communicate the connection between them as women of colour.
